‘Beach Street’ is situated in a revitalised area of Felixstowe, along the sea front. Previously a thriving Sunday market, a few remaining stalls now merge with independent boutiques, artisan producers, Street-food eateries and more. Inspired by the ‘boxpark’ trend, Beach Street is created from The Port of Felixstowe’s own upcycled shipping containers.
The Hopsters bar is on prime position and its wide front overlooks 16 large wooden tables with seating (under umbrellas), for 6-8 people each. It has 6 craft beer taps as well as two well stocked fridges. When I (Steve), visited last weekend, the bar had a tap-takeover from Polly’s Brew and 5 fabulous Polly’s beer were pouring.
Apparently, tap-takeovers are a regular thing here, but, when not in session, the beers are mainly made up from local breweries such as Burnt Mill and Duration.
