Let’s start with good news this week. The Drinks Business reports that industrial action at Budweiser’s brewery near Preston is likely to lead to a summer shortage in the UK of various Macro crap including Stella, Becks, Bud and Boddingtons.
The Morning Advertiser published highlights from the Top Cities Vibrancy Report which noted that the London hospitality industry is now back to pre-COVID levels of sales and footfall, although the City only ranks eighth in the top ten UK Cities, which is headed up by Glasgow.
Tandleman calls the UK beer scene out on his blog this week, for the snobbery with which many disparage Wetherspoons.
Finally this week, good news from the USA that the esteemed All About Beer Magazine has been resurrected by John Holl and Andy Crouch. This would be great news just for the fact that the 40-year archive will be available again, apart from the undoubtedly great journalism yet to come.
