£27.50 For A Pint Of Punk IPA?
James Watt is rarely out of the news, and this week he claimed that a pint of Punk should now cost £27.50 if prices had risen in line with Brewdog’s energy costs! Watt went on to reel off a shopping list of (no doubt expensive and unbudgeted) Government tax cuts and support packages that he wants implementing immediately.

Drinking On The Decline
Meanwhile, the Pub Curmudgeon has some thoughts on the fact that per capita alcohol consumption in the UK is now 15% lower than it was in 2000, and as things fall out of fashion, those who do choose to drink are more likely to do so in private, so delivering a double whammy to pubs.
