Only one story on our minds this week, as, sadly, three much loved UK Craft Breweries, producing diverse range of styles announced that they are closing.

Can’t beat a good panic headline to follow on, and this week CAMRA have called for the Government to extend energy bill support beyond April – unless we are all willing to pay £20 a pint!
The brilliant Lars Marius Garshol has published a fascinating early history of hops, which date back to 9000 BC, with clear evidence of hop cultivation in Norway in 500BC.
Finally, Boak and Bailey have very complementary words to say about a recent weekend of pub-crawling spent in Sheffield. This really whets our appetite for the big TWICB Weekend we have planned for Sheffield in March to coincide with Indie Beer Feast!
