In spite of having a narrow shopfront there is enough room inside for high-top seating of 3 – 4 socially distanced groups. At the back of the shop there is a small bar with ten keg and three cask taps. Behind the taproom there is also a quaint courtyard, perfect for summer day drinking, which can accommodate a single group of up to 12 people.
The varied draft beer selection is mostly from local Thames Valley and West London breweries, and rotates pretty quickly. They have an excellent selection of canned and bottled beer, and also have a small-format (440ml) crowler filling station, in addition to growler fills for take-away. They offer a local same-day delivery service.
Prior to lockdown A Hoppy Place was able to comfortably accommodate 30 or-so drinkers, and, following current guidelines, can still fit 15-20 people, depending upon group sizes. Table booking is essential at the moment, and they can be booked online at https://ahoppyplace.co.uk/
The staff are very welcoming, and TWICB can highly recommend A Hoppy Place, for drink-in, takeaway or delivery.
