The Hanging Bat, 133 Lothian Road, Edinburgh EH3 9AB
The Hanging Bat beer cafe, established on Lothian Road in Edinburgh in 2012, has since solidified its reputation as the premier destination in the city for indulging in an expansive variety of craft beers.
They have their very own brewing area where they produce the freshest ales, and you won’t find these ales anywhere else. The bar offers over 20 craft keg and cask beers backed up by an extensive range of both local and international bottled beers and cans.
During our visit the was a great selection of craft taps pouring beers from Verdant, Vault City, Campervan, Farm Yard, Anspach & Hobday, To Øl, Lervig, Holy Goat, Vocation and Põhjala – certainly a fine eclectic mix of UK and European breweries.
Besides a wide selection of beers they also have a vast and varied selection of high quality wines, spirits, whiskies and cocktails.
The kitchen offers a rousing range of freshly prepared food including fish & chips, beef stew, smoked ribs, wings, burgers, nachos and hot dogs.
The Hanging Bat is open from noon until late, 7 days a week.
