But while many taprooms in this kind of setting can feel stark or rough around the edges, Track’s space defies expectations. The taproom is bright, modern, and immaculately clean, with crisp white and green walls, lush indoor plants, and inviting wooden benches and tables. It’s a genuinely lovely space to drink in—thoughtfully designed and effortlessly welcoming.

Track are at the very top of their game right now, and it was a privilege to sample their beers straight from the source. Their range is broad and brilliantly executed, from the ever-popular core pale ale Sonoma (on both keg and cask) to punchy West Coast IPAs, silky IPAs, and decadent DIPAs. The tap list during our visit also featured a real treat—three keg pours from Vermont’s Foam Brewers, a rare and exciting bonus that beer geeks will appreciate.

Standout pour of the day? That title went to Dreaming of Goldtop, a luxurious 8.4% DIPA from Track’s Gold Top series. Creamy, deceptively smooth, and dangerously drinkable, it was the kind of beer that makes you sit back and smile—and then perhaps reconsider your next one.
Outside, the taproom expands into a spacious, semi-covered beer garden that was buzzing with energy during our sunny weekend visit. A resident food stall dishes up freshly baked pizzas, the perfect accompaniment to a cold pint.
In fact, we enjoyed ourselves so much we completely lost track of time (pun intended) and turned up late to the Manchester Craft Beer Festival just down the road. But no regrets— Track Brewery & Taproom is a world-class destination in its own right, and absolutely worth building an afternoon (or evening) around.
Verdict: One of the UK’s best breweries with an equally impressive taproom —don’t miss it.
