Drinks Sales Down 2%
Slightly at odds with last week’s positive economic news, was a report from the Daily Drinks Tracker showing sales were 2% behind last year in the week to 2nd Dec. This period last year was however boosted by the absurdity of the December World Cup on the TV.

CAMRA Cancels GBBF in 2024
Finally there was surprising news from CAMRA this week announcing that the GBBF won’t run in 2024. It has been a few years since we regarded GBBF and Reading BF as the highlights of our beer year, but these are nonetheless important festivals, and CAMRA needs to get themselves properly organised, to make sure they both run in future years.
