Euro 2024 Fever
The Morning Advertiser is in full Euro 2024 fever mode, predicting that 300 million pints could be sold, assuming that England have a deep run in the tournament. STOP PRESS – Forget about that! England reverted to normal service on Friday night against Iceland. The new estimate for increase in sales is four and a half pints and a packet of pork scratchings!

Lager Wars
There has been an interesting row rumbling this week, with Spanish brewery Estrella accusing Molsen Coors of passing off their Yorkshire- brewed lager Madri, as Spanish. Unusually for TWICB, this time we find ourselves siding with the macro. If consumers are daft enough to choose their beverage based on it being a “Spanish lager”, they deserve to be served a pint of lemonade with yellow food colouring in it.
