Brew LDN 2023

Brew LDN, The Printworks, Surrey Quays Rd, London SE16 7PJ

This was my third successive visit to Brew LDN, held at The Printworks in Canada Water, London. Sadly however, we understand that the venue is soon to be demolished, so a new location is needed for 2024.

The TWICB Team attended the ‘Trade Day’ on Friday, 5th May, with the session scheduled from 11:30 am until 5 pm. This meant that my golden rule of never drinking before noon immediately went out the window!

Our trade tickets allowed us access to free pours of craft beer throughout the session, and we happily mingled with other trade guests, brewers, and visitors.

The Printworks is a massive building with several sections, and it’s been the perfect location for this Craft Beer festival over the years. This year there were fewer breweries exhibiting, so much of the area was sectioned off, however that only made the rest of the building seem more crowded, and the atmosphere was buzzing.

It must be said, however, that there were significant brewery absences, and the beer selections were nowhere near as plentiful as last year.

Fortunately there was plenty of seating available to sit down, sup beer and relax. The toilets were close by and very clean and well looked after during the day.

Although the beer selection was not quite up to scratch, the food court had a fabulous selection of delicious street food, including pizza, curry, duck, burgers, chicken, and BBQ food.

We spent several hours here and chatted happily with brewers and friends in the trade.
